E-Cigarette, Electronic Cigarette, E-Cig Theyre All the Same
What’s the right word to describe an dry vaporizer product: e-cigarette, electronic cigarette, or e-cig? Actually, it really doesn’t matter. It is the same device regardless of the word used to describe it. An E cig electronic cigarette is a device that allows you to supplement or replace your harmful tobacco habit as you see fit. It is also the best tobacco alternative on the market today. If you are interested, there are a number of other words people use to describe electronic cigarettes:
personal vaporiser (PVs)
electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS).
As Shakespeare said, ‘a rose by any other name would smell as sweet’. As far as we’re concerned, the electronic cigarette offers a superior alternative to tobacco smoking, regardless of what you may call it.
The Electronics in the E-Cig
The most commonly used term for our products is ‘electronic cigarettes’. This name comes from the small electronic device at the heart of the e-cig; a device is known as an atomizer. It is comprised of a small heating element, a wick, some wiring and a bit of electronic circuitry. Without the atomizer, there would be no e-cigarette. The atomizer uses electricity provided by a lithium-ion battery to heat up a nicotine liquid contained within the E cig device. When that liquid reaches vaporization temperature, it is transformed from a liquid state into a vapor. The vapor is then inhaled and exhaled exactly the same way tobacco smoke is. The Electronic Cigarette Consumer Association UK (ECCA) offers a comprehensive new user guide explaining all of the technical aspects of how e-cigarettes work. It includes a glossary that will help you become familiar with common vaping terms.
The Vapor Cloud
The vapor cloud produced by electronic cigarette is one of the things that makes the products so popular among smokers. By replicating tobacco smoke and providing a vehicle for nicotine delivery, the vapor cloud makes using electronic cigarettes feel very natural to the smoker. No approved nicotine replacement product can make similar claims. So what is it that gives the vapor cloud its realistic look and feel? Propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin. Both substances are used as a base for e-liquid; a base in which manufacturers suspend the other ingredients including nicotine, a flavoring and, when necessary, distilled water. We should note that both vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol have been approved for human consumption by the World Health Organization (WHO), the US FDA, and other recognized health bodies. Propylene glycol, as an example, has been used in asthma inhalers for decades. For more information about the safety of both direct e-cigarette vapor and passive vapor, we recommend you look at the research presented by the Consumer Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives Association (CASAA). They are one of many organizations working to educate both consumers and governments about the benefits of electronic cigarettes as a tobacco substitute. Whether you choose to call it an e-cigarette, electronic cigarette, or e-cig, a device from E cig can provide a satisfying experience you can choose instead of smoking tobacco cigarettes. All E cig products meet the very high standards set forth by ECITA, the leading industry trade group in the UK.
